A Seed is sown.

As the long summer days are drawn into the cold whispers of Autumn;

the farmers have been busy harvesting the golden fields for winter, leaving a patchwork quilt across the land.

The hedgerows are in a abundance of fruits and colours, ready for picking. Blackberries have started to ripen and plump in the late summer sun. The Apple trees bow from the weight of their sun kissed apples.

As we hold on to the last long days of summer, we reminisce over the past summer's adventures: long walks, picnics, catching up with friends, sandy toes on the beach, eating ice creams, collecting shells, the roar of the waves from the sea bear.

If you close your eyes you can almost smell the salty sea returning you to that treasured moment, when a seed is sown, a story to be told, a memory to be shared...another adventure to be had.

As I sat over looking the sea this summer in Cornwall, a friend of Nutmeg Noggins appeared in my drawings, Saltz, the beach gnome- a collector of all things beautiful from shells to lost bucket and spades.
