Orange stars and Advent clean...

It is time to start preparing and clearing space in our homes for Advent time.

Create space for your Christmas spirit and enjoy the whole of the Christmas season.

Here is a Christmas activity.

We have started to make a festive pot pourri, to fill the house with a warm smell of Christmas essence.

Collect pine cones from your autumn walks, wash them and put them on a tray to dry out on a low heat in the oven (60)

until the cones are fully dried.

Using orange peel, cut out star shapes and dry on a low heat (60) until dried and firm.( it takes at least 3/4 hrs. keep checking.)

When drying has been completed allow to cool .

Then place the orange stars and cones into a plastic zip bag adding cinnamon essential oils into the bag once a week and shake. keep sealed until required...and enjoy.

Our task this week- to start off our Advent clean is clearing drawers and cupboards.
